Noche Mexicana

Went to a Noche Mexicana last night - a big traditional fiesta coinciding with the Bicentenario, this one put on by a local church. But the only church-y thing about it was that the padre sang with a mariachi band. But aside from that there was plenty of singing and dancing (three bands) and tequila.

I stayed away from the tequila. Long-standing rule of mine, I've learned my lesson. Just a Cuba Libre for me, thanks.

I only had my little G9 with me, rather than the usual camera gear, but I got some photos from the festivities. My favorite was this one from outside the hall, where a member of the band was tuning up before performing.
