Wet 'n' wild

I have no idea if it was a post-Chilean-earthquake tsunami or just a really fast-moving high tide, but when I was in Newport Beach this morning, shooting at a fish market normally 30-40 yards from the high tide line, waves at one point washed into the beachside outdoor market where I was shooting.
Fortunately, I had a pair of dry shoes in my car.

To add a point of reference, later in the day I went back and shot from the pier to show some scale. The shoreline is at bottom left, and the ramshackle brown building on the beach in the upper right is the market where I was shooting from in the first photo. That's a lot of water.

Wow, love the shot! You should post more of your work. I miss seeing it!

(Well, that and the snark. But also the work)

Thanks! Yeah I've been neglecting my poor blog but I intend to post more, including more photos. And more snark. :-)
